Into The Redwoods
A great place on the San Mateo Coast is the “bottom-side” of Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. Why “bottom-side?” That’s because the Preserve extends from a mile or so from the coast all the way to Skyline Drive. Purisima Creek still has running water in spite of the drought. So, a couple of my favorite things – redwoods and water. It was very warm with lots of sun. That makes the contrast between shade and the sunlight areas really difficult to capture. A couple of the pictures in recent work are “HDR” processed. HDR is High-Dynamic-Range imaging. I used the enfuse software. It’s free and I like the results a lot more than what Photoshop gives me. It also does focus stacking but more on that later.
You can see my favorite shots from the day on my recent work page. Enjoy.
