I recently spent a week at Lake Tahoe. This wasn’t a photography trip but I managed to get a few shots while I was there. By coincidence, it was the time of the ‘super full moon.’ I couldn’t get to a great place but I did manage to capture the moonrise. A few other shots can be seen on my recent work page. There are two moonshots. The one without the clouds was two nights before the full moon.
I must say the North Shore of Tahoe is not a photographer-friendly place. I used satellite images prior the trip to select a spot that looked really promising only to find that spot surrounded by eight foot high barbed wire fences. I didn’t notice any guard dogs or guard towers however. Makes one wonder.
