Junipero Serra County Park
Earth Day 2013. It’s really warm in the Bay Area – windless and still. I headed for Junipero Serra County Park looking for some photo opportunities; I was not disappointed. Junipero Serra is a small park nestled up against 280 and just about under the planes taking off from San Francisco International. Nevertheless, it’s a nice place to spend a few hours. There are lots of spring flowers right now and even a few redwood trees. As a bonus, I pretty much had the park to myself. I managed to circumnavigate the park in a couple of hours. If you’re just hiking it would take much less time but I’m like a butterfly – just moving from idea to idea. (I’m significantly heavier than a butterfly and I can’t fly even a little bit but you get the idea. Or at least I hope you do.) Check out the Slide Show for my favorites from today. And here’s a map of my wanderings in the park.
