Artwalk in San Francisco’s North Beach

Sunset at the Golden Gate
Looking for something to do this weekend? Take the North Beach Artwalk in San Francisco. Here’s some basic info on the walk:

Look at an artist’s new work in a shop that’s showcasing art as well as unique merchandise, enjoy live music in Kerouac Alley, drop into an open studio or gallery, listen to poets read as you sip a latte in a cafe. It’s all part of the Third Annual North Beach ArtWalk, September 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Venues along Columbus Avenue, Grant Avenue, and many neighboring streets from Washington to Bay Streets are featuring more than 40 artists, poets, and musicians in this two-day free event sponsored by the Telegraph Hill Dwellers Art & Culture Committee. Jumping-off point for ArtWalk is Live Worms Gallery, 1345 Grant Avenue, which hosts a group show of work by all participating artists. At Live Worms you can pick up a map of locations and artists and get your map stamped for special bargains at participating venues.

As a bonus, my work – at Pat’s Cafe – See here – will be on the walk even though I didn’t sign up for it. More info
